The EAST Cruising Section have now had their skippers meeting and it is all systems go for 2024.
We are looking forward to 3 cruises and expect to have between 8 and 10 yachts on each cruise. The yachts belong to and are skippered by EAST volunteers and are crewed by a mix of visually impaired and sighted crew. We’ll be holding taster days during the year for first time visually impaired crew to try a day of yacht sailing before committing to an overnight cruise. Potential new skippers and sighted crew are also given taster days of sailing alongside visually impaired crew.
All crew and skippers need to be EAST members. Everyone on board contributes £30 per night to cover all food and drink, diesel costs and marina charges.
The cruises are great fun with good days afloat and good social gatherings on shore each evening.

3 Night May Cruise. Friday May 17th 1800 to 14.00 Monday 20th , Admiral, John Maxwell.
2 night June Taster Cruise. Friday June 7th 1800 to 14.00 Sunday June 9, Admiral, Nick Fischl
8 night September Cruise. Friday September 13th 1800 to midday Saturday 21st , Admiral, Tom Clayton.
Sailing finishes end of Friday 20th followed by end of cruise dinner.
