Today saw the first of our maintenance sessions at EAST as our sailing season drew to a close on Saturday 30th September. Much work needed to be completed in preparation for the four Sonars removal from the water, so our team of volunteers arrived on site to remove lines, equipment and the shrouds from the boats before they were each lashed to our Rib and moved over to have the masts unstepped for winter storage.
While we are always sad to see the end of each sailing season, our Winter programme sees volunteers working at the EAST Waterside Centre at Levington each alternate Tuesday and Thursday (dates can be found on the website calendar).
