Shakedown Sailing Session

After our first two shakedown sessions were cancelled last week due to high winds, it was great to finally get out on the water today with four of our Sonars. The day started with near zero wind and fog on the river but this eventually cleared to reveal the sunshine and 10 knots of wind was still sufficient to fill our brand new sails and take us down river towards Trimley. The aim of our shakedown sessions is make sure our boats are handling correctly after the winter maintenance period which sees them removed from the water and thoroughly overhauled. With one more shakedown session scheduled we'll be ready to embark our first sailors of 2023 on May 2nd.
