Some of you will recall that the Old Gaffers Association celebrated their 60th anniversary this year with the Round Britain Cruise (RBC60). Starting at Ramsgate between 27th & 30th April, the fleet arrived at the finish line on the River Orwell to hold their Jubilee Party between 3rd and 6th August. A team of EAST volunteers provided our Safety boats for support over the three days on what would be the wettest weekend this summer!
Our treasurer Geoff Dreher and Chairman Allistair Renton were invited to the Old Gaffers Association AGM, which was held at Royal Harwich Yacht Club on 4th November, to be presented with a cheque for £2834.49. Again we would like to thank members of the OGA for the generosity, it is very much appreciated.
