You may have seen the East Anglian Sailing Trust’s Sonar Keelboats coming in and out of the Suffolk Yacht Harbour in the River Orwell, giving sailing opportunities to people with disabilities. The Trust also has a Cruising Section offering yacht sailing opportunities for visually impaired crew. 2023 marks our 30th year of organising cruises.
We organise three cruises in company each year, two weekend and one a week long. Crews are a mix of visually impaired and experienced sighted crew. The cruises are great fun with all the usual inter yacht banter, excellent sailing and tuition for visually impaired crew.

Taster Cruise for First Timers: Friday May 12th to Sunday May 14th
June Cruise: Friday June 2nd to Monday June 5th
September Cruise: Thursday September 7th to Saturday September 16th
