Maintenance Sessions (Covid 19)

Dear All,

In view of the rapidly developing Corona Virus situation and the latest Government advice on social distancing and particularly bearing in mind the age group to which a fair proportion of our maintenance team belong, it has been decided to suspend maintenance for the time being.

Thanks to everyone's hard work over the winter, the original three Sonars are ready for launching and there is not a great deal required before the Squibs can be put in the water.

As things stand, the Sonars will be launched by SYH, by which time I suspect that we will know more about the restrictions on movement and be able to formulate plans for sailing activities this year. That will enable us to organise whatever further maintenance sessions are required - stepping Sonar masts for example - in which case the bosuns will contact Volunteers directly.

We will be in touch again when things become clearer but, for the time being at least, please do not attend the maintenance sessions shown on the calendar, which will be amended shortly

All the best and stay safe,

John
