COVID 19 update - February 2021

East Anglian Sailing Trust - Coronavirus UPDATE February 2021

The Trustees of EAST have met again recently to discuss the continuing effects of Lockdown on the charity and to consider the situation in relation to sailing in Keelboats and VI Cruising for the 2021 season. Regrettably, in the light of continuing current government regulations, RYA advice and the still uncertain path of the pandemic, we have very reluctantly decided that we do not expect to be able to offer any disabled sailing activities before early Summer 2021. However, both VI Cruising and Keelboat sections are continuing to plan how we might be able to resume sailing and social activities as soon as it is safe to do so. The situation will be kept under constant review and hopefully we will be able to resume in early Summer. It is regrettable that this decision has been taken but this has been done in consideration for the safety of all our members, volunteers, sailors and the emergency services.
