Coronavirus (Covid-19) Information from the Trustees

Updated: Mar 23, 2020

To all EAST Members, Sailors and Volunteers,

The developing situation with the Corona Virus Pandemic is likely to affect the planned activities of East Anglian Sailing Trust during the immediate future. The planning for the seasons activities is proceeding but will be amended in accordance with the developing advice available at the time. Both Cruising and Keelboat sections will advise members when alterations and cancellations to planned activities are necessary. Details will be updated regularly on the EAST Website.

EAST is actively monitoring the situation and will continue to be led by Government Advice. We recommend that all members follow the guidance issued by Public Health England regarding your own personal circumstances.

As you will no doubt be aware the situation has continued to escalate rapidly and the Trustees have now decided to suspend all EAST Sailing and Training activities with effect from Saturday 21st March until further notice. Members will be advised when the situation changes at some time later in the season

The Safety of our Sailors and Volunteers will remain of paramount importance and will govern any future decisions made by the Trustees and Cruising and Keelboat sailing committees.
