Sailing Trust taster weekend for people with disabilities

15/05/2014
A charity that offers sailing opportunities for the blind and disabled is running a series of taster sessions this weekend. The East Anglian Sailing Trust (EAST) has organised a Taster Weekend for Saturday and Sunday at Levington Marina, on the River Orwell.
The event is part of the Royal Yachting Association’s national Push The Boat Out campaign, which encourages sailing clubs all over the country to run events that encourage sailing for all ages. The session on Saturday focuses on young sailors.
The Young EAST Sailors will be out on the water, and
the event is open to people aged 10-18 with disabilities.
On Sunday the trust turns its attention to adults with disabilities.
There will be two sessions on each day, 10am-noon and
1.30-3.30pm, weather permitting. The purpose of the weekend is to show how much fun sailing can be, under safe and controlled conditions.
