Bill Smith wins RYA's Francis Elkin award

31/07/2013
The trustees are delighted to be able to announce that the RYA has conferred the Francis Elkin Award on Bill Smith - to be formally presented to him later in the year.

This award is given to "an individual who has made a significant contribution in time, effort and personal endeavour to enable people with disabilities to become involved in sailing.", and is one of their top National awards.

We know you will join us in congratulating Bill. They couldn't have found a more worthy candidate, and it's very apt for him to get it this year - the year of our 21st anniversary blind cruise, and the 40th anniversary of the foundation of East Anglian Sea School.

Bill - we look forward to your continuing efforts over the next 21 years!
